The Union at River East “The Union” announced today that it has developed a program dedicated to the development of musicians in Fort Worth. The program will provide an area musician with reduced rent of a live/work unit for a year in the newly opened Union at River East. The Union will partner with Hear Fort Worth to identify musicians that qualify for the “musician in residence” program.
Qualified applicants are encouraged to submit applications and demo tracks for consideration on The Union’s website, www.unionfortworth.com. Musicians will be reviewed and evaluated based on financial criteria, talent and synergy. Applicants will also be evaluated based on an online presence as well as the appeal to River East and the future of the neighborhood.
“We are searching for musicians that are on the rise and want to be part of the emerging scene in the River East district,” said W. Pretlow Riddick, president of Criterion Development Partners. “We want to invest in Fort Worth’s music scene while creating a presence of live music here in River East.”
Riddick added that live music lands in River East when Brooks Kendall opens The Post at River East in the Spring of 2019.
Requirements for Selection:
• Candidates must be regularly performing at least eight public appearances per month, at a ratio of at least 20% outside of Fort Worth
